Are you an experienced Cost Accountant hoping to join a great company?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost data, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting budgeting and financial planning processes. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency with various accounting software, and the ability to collaborate across departments to optimize cost management strategies. The Cost Accountant plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of financial information and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain product costing, standard costing, and bill of material (BOM) analysis.
- Analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material, overhead, and production efficiencies.
- Monitor inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventory reconciliations.
- Review and reconcile inventory and manufacturing-related general ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to manufacturing and inventory.
- Prepare cost reports, margin analysis, and profitability reports for management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities for production and operational departments.
- Maintain and improve internal controls related to inventory and manufacturing accounting.
- Assist with audits by preparing schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and financial procedures.
- Participate in ERP system maintenance and improvements related to inventory and costing modules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA designation or enrollment considered an asset.
- 3?5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge and experience with QuickBooks Desktop.
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
