ServiceNow SAM/ITAM Business Systems Analyst Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 1–3 days onsite) Duration: 6-Month Contract (Extension/Conversion Possible)
Overview Our financial services client is seeking a ServiceNow SAM/ITAM Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise asset and configuration management initiatives. This role will partner with business stakeholders, platform teams, and CMDB administrators to enhance ServiceNow capabilities, improve IT asset management processes, and ensure high-quality, audit-ready asset and configuration data. Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for ServiceNow Asset Management and CMDB initiatives Support enhancements across ServiceNow SAM Pro, HAM Pro, CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping Analyze and improve IT asset lifecycle and configuration management processes Develop user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and testing documentation Collaborate with CMDB teams to improve data quality, governance, and CI accuracy Create dashboards, reports, operational metrics, and process documentation Support Agile delivery activities and stakeholder engagement throughout project delivery Required Qualifications 7–10 years of Business Systems Analysis experience Proven experience working with the ServiceNow platform Strong knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM) concepts and processes Hands-on experience or strong functional knowledge of: ServiceNow SAM Pro ServiceNow HAM Pro CMDB Discovery Service Mapping ServiceNow reporting and dashboards Experience gathering requirements, documenting solutions, and managing stakeholders Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Experience working in Agile environments Nice to Have ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or other ServiceNow certifications Experience supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations Knowledge of CMDB health metrics, IRE, reconciliation rules, and CI lifecycle management Experience with integrations affecting asset and configuration data Familiarity with IT operations and enterprise technology environments Ideal Candidate Experienced BSA with deep ServiceNow ITAM/SAM expertise Strong communicator who can bridge business and technical teams Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement, governance, and data quality Comfortable working in a collaborative Agile environment supporting enterprise technology initiatives
