About the role
Financial Analyst
Responsibilities Assist with financial modeling and the preparation of investment and business case materials to support acquisitions, divestitures, capital projects, and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain financial models, reconcile project data, and ensure the accuracy of ongoing financial reporting.
Collect, consolidate, and analyze financial and operational information to support budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and executive presentations. Prepare recurring financial reports, including cash flow forecasts, budget-to-actual analyses, variance reporting, and key performance metrics. Prepare financing and funding support documentation, including financial summaries, reconciliations, cost analyses, and supporting schedules for internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of financial processes, including the implementation of automation and AI-enabled solutions. Perform ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects to support business decisions and organizational objectives. Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support evolving business needs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience or coursework involving process improvement, automation, data analysis, or light scripting (e.g., Power Query, VBA, Python, or similar tools). Familiarity with ERP systems, financial software, project management platforms, or other business applications. Exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financing activities, or working with external stakeholders. Previous experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, accounting, project-based environments, or other analytical business functions. CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional designation (completed, in progress, or willingness to pursue) is considered an asset. Personal Attributes: Naturally curious with a desire to learn new technologies, systems, and best practices. Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail. Effective collaborator with the ability to build relationships and communicate across teams. Analytical thinker who is comfortable questioning assumptions, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing thoughtful recommendations.
