Pay Rate Range - $100/hr - $140/hr CAD Job Description Project Overview Our client is leading a large-scale Finance & Operations transformation program across multiple business units. The environment includes proprietary operational platforms, a central integration layer, and NetSuite as the future ERP platform. The Data Lead will establish data governance, lead integration and migration efforts, and ensure accurate, reliable data flows across operational, financial, and reporting systems. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring close collaboration with IT, Finance, Operations, developers, business SMEs, and external vendors. Key Responsibilities Lead enterprise data migration, governance, master data management, and system integration initiatives. Establish a practical Data Governance framework covering data ownership, stewardship, quality, security, access, retention, and issue resolution. Define the Single Source of Truth and authoritative systems for customers, contracts, pricing, inventory, services, and financial data. Design end-to-end data architecture connecting operational platforms, integration layers, NetSuite, and reporting solutions. Define interface specifications, data mappings, transformation rules, reconciliation, monitoring, and exception handling processes. Lead legacy data extraction, cleansing, mapping, validation, mock conversions, reconciliation, and production cutover into NetSuite. Build and manage the integration backlog, delivery roadmap, and cutover activities across multiple workstreams. Translate business requirements into technical specifications for developers and vendors. Coordinate internal teams, NetSuite implementation partners, and third-party vendors through design, build, testing, and deployment. Support SIT, UAT, reconciliation, and production readiness while ensuring successful go-live. Initial Priorities Establish baseline data governance and decision rights. Identify business and technical owners for critical data. Confirm authoritative systems for key master data. Map operational-to-financial transaction flows. Define integration architecture and transition approach into NetSuite. Establish integration backlog, vendor responsibilities, monitoring, and reconciliation processes. Required Experience Proven experience leading enterprise Data Migration, Data Governance, MDM, Integration, and Cutover initiatives. Strong experience with ERP implementations, preferably NetSuite or similar financial platforms. Experience integrating multiple operational systems using APIs, middleware, batch interfaces, and file-based integrations. Expertise in Master Data Management (MDM), data architecture, data modeling, and authoritative system design. Hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis, field mapping, reconciliation, and troubleshooting complex data issues. Experience working with proprietary or poorly documented legacy systems. Strong knowledge of order-to-cash, billing, pricing, inventory, finance, and reporting data flows. Experience with Microsoft data technologies such as Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI. Experience managing vendors and system integrators in large enterprise transformation programs. Ability to work across business, finance, IT, and technical teams in a fast-paced environment. Core Required Skillsets Candidates should demonstrate experience performing at least 4 of the following 5 capabilities together within a single transformation program, not across unrelated projects: Data Migration – Data extraction, cleansing, mapping, mock conversions, reconciliation, and NetSuite cutover. Data Governance & Master Data Management (MDM) – Establishing data ownership, governance standards, and a single source of truth. Multi-System Integration – Integrating proprietary operational systems with NetSuite, reporting platforms, and middleware using APIs, files, and batch processes. Testing & Cutover – Leading SIT, UAT, reconciliation, cutover planning, and production deployment. Hands-On Delivery – Writing SQL queries, inspecting source data, validating mappings, resolving data issues, and supporting developers directly.
