About the role

Role Description This is an 8-week internship opportunity to work in a remote Office to the CEO role at Pokebaldin. The position supports the CEO with day-to-day administrative coordination, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, organizing travel, and preparing meeting agendas and materials. The role involves drafting and reviewing correspondence, maintaining records and files, and ensuring smooth office operations. The individual will act as a primary point of contact for internal teams and external partners, support basic accounting and expense tracking, and assist with customer and stakeholder inquiries. The role also includes preparing reports and presentations, monitoring deadlines and follow-ups, and handling confidential information with discretion. Qualifications Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in administrative assistance and office administration, including calendar management, document preparation, and maintaining organized filing systems. Experience in customer service, with the ability to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and represent the CEO and organization in a professional manner. Basic accounting skills, including expense tracking, invoice processing, and support with financial documentation. High level of attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, email, and collaboration platforms). Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion. Previous experience in executive support, office coordination, or a similar role; post-secondary education in business, administration, or a related field is an asset.

Our History The MTCC’s North Building opened for business on October 2, 1984 with the formal dedication conducted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The South Building was opened 13 years later, with the official opening by His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh on June 29, 1997.

The Metro Toronto Convention Centre is a Crown Corporation of the Province of Ontario. The creation of the MTCC was a joint effort between the Federal Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario, and the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto, with the intent of increasing tourism revenue to the City and Province.
