Job Description We are currently seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Financial Controller who will play a key role in managing the company’s finances while handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks. You will work closely with the co-founders and actively contribute to Maguire’s growth strategy in both Canada and internationally.

Key Responsibilities Participate in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for both Canadian and U.S. entities; Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; Track key performance indicators and provide actionable recommendations to support strategic decisions; Ensure compliance with tax regulations (GST/QST, payroll remittances, etc.); Oversee the full accounting cycle (invoicing, payables, payroll); Assist with grant applications and reporting; Collaborate with external auditors (RCGT) as needed; Perform other related tasks and special projects. Bookkeeping Record daily accounting entries (using QuickBooks and Dext); Manage accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, and payments; Reconcile bank and credit card accounts; Monitor inventory from an accounting perspective. Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role; CPA designation is an asset; Proficiency in both French and English; Strong knowledge of Excel, QuickBooks, and Dext; Detail-oriented, reliable, self-motivated, and proactive; Experience in retail or fashion is an asset; Interest in entrepreneurship and growing SMEs. Job Details Full-time position (35 hours per week); Hybrid work model; Salary and vacation based on experience; Group insurance, including dental coverage; One free pair of shoes per season and employee discounts; Workplace: Head office located at 5365 Saint-Laurent Blvd, in Montreal’s Mile End; Start date: Flexible.
