This role exists to establish Scrum by helping the Scrum Team and the broader organization understand and apply Scrum effectively, while removing impediments that hinder team performance. The Scrum Master’s objective is to improve team effectiveness by enabling self-managing teams and fostering continuous improvement in how work is delivered. This role helps the team become a high-performing unit that consistently delivers business value, adapts to change, and continuously improves at Gore Mutual. What You'll Do: Establish Scrum and improve team effectiveness Coach the Scrum Team, Product Owner, and stakeholders to understand and apply Scrum effectively Enable self-managing, cross-functional teams focused on delivering value Help ensure Scrum is applied properly and continuously improving Enable continuous improvement and team performance Foster a culture of inspection and adaptation to improve ways of working Coach teams to improve collaboration, quality, and delivery outcomes Support teams in identifying and addressing systemic issues impacting effectiveness Support Impediments removal to team progress Identify and help remove obstacles that limit team progress Escalate impediments beyond the team’s control to enable flow Coach teams to resolve impediments within their own capability Enable transparency and alignment on delivery Use tools (e.g., Jira) to make work visible and improve transparency of progress and outcomes Create and maintain dashboards and reports to support data-driven insights and decision-making Promote shared understanding of goals, priorities, and delivery status across stakeholders What You'll Need to Succeed: Undergraduate degree in Information technology filed and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II) preferred 3–5 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with hands-on experience supporting or leading Scrum Teams Proven experience in coaching teams on Scrum practices and improving team effectiveness and ways of working Experience facilitating Scrum events and enabling continuous improvement through inspection and adaptation Demonstrated ability to identify, manage, and remove impediments, including working across teams and stakeholders to resolve issues Experience working with Product Owners and stakeholders to improve backlog clarity, prioritization, and alignment on outcomes Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams (e.g., technology, data, and business stakeholders) Practical experience using Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to manage work, track progress, and create reports/dashboards for transparency Exposure to organizational Agile adoption or transformation initiatives is an asset Scrum and Agile Expertise – Deep understanding of Scrum principles, accountabilities, and empirical practices (transparency, inspection, adaptation). Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Knowledge: Understanding of software delivery processes and practices to effectively collaborate with technical teams. Technical Delivery Knowledge: Working knowledge of software development and technology delivery environments. Coaching and Facilitation: Ability to coach teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders, and facilitate effective discussions and decision-making. Team Effectiveness and Servant Leadership: Enabling self-managing teams, fostering accountability, and building high-performing team dynamics. Continuous Improvement Mindset: Driving inspection and adaptation to improve team performance, quality, and delivery outcomes. Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication and relationship-building skills to align cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Impediment Identification and Resolution: Ability to identify, analyze, and remove/support removal of blockers at the team and organizational levels. Metrics-Driven Improvement: Ability to interpret delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time, throughput) and use data to identify opportunities for improvement and support decision-making. Agile Tools Proficiency (e.g., Jira, Confluence): Experience using tools to manage work, create dashboards and reports, and improve transparency. Familiarity with Agile Engineering Practices: Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and related practices to support team discussions and continuous improvement. #LI-Hybrid The expected base salary range for this position is $79,500 - $129,500. Depending on your relevant experience, skills, qualifications, market conditions and business needs, base compensation may vary. You have the potential to earn more through Gore Mutual’s discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals. Please note: This range reflects the expected base salary for this role but may not represent the full compensation range for all experience and skill levels.
