What You’ll Be Doing: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst, Operations Finance plays a critical role in driving financial planning, analysis and strategic decision-making. This role is responsible for leading analysis and providing actionable insights to optimize operations and support business growth.
- Lead the development of financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision‑making and margin growth.
- Partner closely with Operations Senior Leadership and cross‑functional teams to understand business drivers and provide high‑quality financial analysis.
- Lead key components of the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Lead and/or support the financial integration of new acquisitions and developments.
- Share expertise and actively support the development of the finance team.
- Lead and/or support process improvements and internal control enhancements.
- Support month‑end close and reporting, including proactive analysis of results to identify risks and opportunities.
- Lead and/or support compliance reporting, including planning, preparation, and submission of required reports and filings.
- Provide guidance to operating units to ensure consistent application of accounting policies, organizational standards, and internal procedures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial, personal, and resident data.
- Perform other related duties and special projects assigned.
Who you are:
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Business, Commerce or related discipline.
- Chartered Professional Accounting Designation or working towards completion preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in full-cycle accounting and/or financial planning and analysis position.
- Previous experience in long-term care or health care industries is considered an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
