Job Description Representative Public Works Account Management – Stormwater Public Works - Operations Support 1 Contract Full Time Position, Duration 13 months Salary Range: $62,902 to $78,628 per annum (plus benefits) Hiring Range: $62,902 to $70,765 per annum (plus benefits) Work mode: Hybrid* see below for details Location: 2 Copper Road, Brampton Hours of work: 35 hours of work per week The Role Reporting to the Supervisor, Stormwater Billing within the Operations Support Division of Public Works, the Account Management Representative, Stormwater Billing is responsible for the administration of stormwater billing accounts and delivery of exceptional customer service. This role supports the accurate management of billing data, account maintenance, and customer inquiries, while ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and service standards. The incumbent will utilize the Region’s billing system, Oracle CCBCS, to support stormwater billing operations and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet program objectives. What You Will Do Maintain and update customer account and premise information within the billing system using data received from Region of Peel departments, municipal partners, and Municipal Connect. Process stormwater-related account and premise updates received from local municipalities. Create new residential and commercial stormwater accounts and premises. Conduct quality assurance reviews to identify and resolve account, property, and billing discrepancies. Liaise with client municipalities and internal partners to validate and maintain accurate account information. Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints via telephone and email in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. Investigate billing-related issues, explain account information, and provide guidance to customers on stormwater billing matters. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) activities related to billing system enhancements and updates. Develop, review, and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support business and program requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned. What You Bring to the Role Education and Experience Completion of a post-secondary education program in business administration, finance, accounting, public administration, or a related field. Minimum three (3) years of related experience in customer account management, billing administration, customer service, or a similar role. Knowledge of Peel Region’s stormwater, water, and wastewater billing programs is considered an asset. Experience working with billing systems; experience with Oracle CCBCS is preferred. Experience handling financial transactions and understanding their impact on account balances. Proven experience providing customer service and interacting with the public, including responding to inquiries, resolving concerns, and explaining complex information. Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of billing processes, account maintenance, and data management principles. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet scheduled deadlines. High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Strong mathematical aptitude, particularly related to billing calculations and financial transactions. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneDrive. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
