To achieve this, we are searching for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This individual should have a solid accounting knowledge base to contribute to timely and reliable financial reporting. We are looking for entrepreneurial, passionate and consumer-driven, big thinkers who can make things happen!
Key Responsibilities • Daily bank reconciliation and cash deposit reconciliation; investigate variances between the bank statement and the GL balances. • Prepare monthly sales reports for delivery platforms during the month-end closing process. • Support month-end and year-end close processes by maintaining prepaid and accruals schedule, post monthly entries and reconcile related Balance Sheet accounts. • Fixed Asset management for asset proposal, disposal and monthly depreciation. • Prepare HST filing worksheets and reconcile related Balance Sheet accounts for two legal entities • Prepare monthly P&Ls for the corporate stores and review monthly performance. • Reconcile intercompany payments to ensure the accuracy of AR/AP balances. • Assist with annual audit. Collaborate with the Operations team to resolve financial reporting questions in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree with major in accounting. • Minimum 2–3 years of full-cycle accounting experience. • Experience in NetSuite & SAP Concur is highly preferred. • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including lookups and pivot tables. • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, professional approach.
