A well-established and growing Vancouver-based contracting company is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to join its leadership team. The Opportunity Reporting directly to the President/CEO, the Director of Finance will lead all financial operations, provide strategic insight, and help scale the finance function to support continued growth. The ideal candidate will bring solid construction or project-based accounting experience and excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting and finance functions, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and reporting Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning activities Provide oversight of job costing and project-level financial analysis Strengthen internal controls and enhance financial processes Manage banking relationships, bonding, and financing arrangements Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team

Qualifications CPA designation (required) 8+ years of progressive finance experience Construction or contracting industry experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of project accounting and job costing Proven experience managing teams Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution
