Position Summary:
The Payroll Clerk is responsible for the day?to?day administration of bi?weekly payroll across multiple provinces, ensuring accurate processing, timely delivery, and full compliance with legislative requirements. Core responsibilities include managing employee changes, maintaining payroll and benefits data, preparing reports, performing reconciliations, and supporting internal audits.

Responsibilities:
Day to Day:
- Responsible for the preparation, coordination, and processing of a multi-province, bi-weekly payroll for multiple divisions within Canada
- Review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets, earnings, deductions, and tax calculations in the payroll system
- Provide basic support for any general benefit related questions; work closely with Human Resources to support any sensitive/confidential benefit related matters that they are managing
- Ensure compliance with all applicable provincial and federal wage and hour laws, including tax filings and proper deductions
- Generate and file EHT tax returns for BC and Ontario, coordinating payment/refunds where necessary
- Interface timely with Human Resources staff to process payroll and benefits administration changes and other queries, as required
- Provide timely, high quality and respectful customer service to our employees with respect to their queries
- Facilitate managers and employees understanding of payroll procedures
- Strengthen and develop the relationships with Payroll?s internal and external customers
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience with all payroll functions
- Minimum of post-secondary diploma (or equivalent) obtained in a related field
- Experience processing multi-province payroll preferred
- PCP required
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce desirable
- Experience with system upgrades enhancements or conversion projects is an asset
