Associate Product Manager, Digital Platforms Contract: 12 Months (August 2026 – August 2027) Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Hybrid (4 days/week in office) Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Language: English required; French is an asset Pay Rate: Up to $77.50/hr Incorporated | Up to $67.00/hr T4 About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an Associate Product Manager, Digital Platforms to join their Digital Product team during a significant platform modernization initiative. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career product professional looking to build expertise within a complex B2B digital platform environment. The successful candidate will support the migration of legacy platform capabilities to a modern digital ecosystem while gaining exposure to product management, business analysis, user experience, and platform strategy. In addition to supporting current transformation initiatives, you will contribute to future product planning by analyzing user feedback, identifying business opportunities, and helping shape the long-term product roadmap. Key Responsibilities Platform Migration Support Support migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern digital platforms. Document current-state functionality, business processes, workflows, and dependencies. Collaborate with Product Managers and technology teams to develop requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Assist with backlog grooming, prioritization, and delivery planning activities. Product Discovery & Analysis Develop a strong understanding of users, business processes, and platform capabilities. Conduct research on user needs, feedback, industry trends, and modernization opportunities. Analyze workflows and business requirements to identify areas for improvement. Build knowledge of the business, technology landscape, and customer experience. Roadmap & Product Planning Support Collect, review, and categorize feedback from users and stakeholders. Identify recurring challenges, enhancement opportunities, and process gaps. Support maintenance of future product opportunity backlogs. Assist with journey mapping and product discovery initiatives. Documentation & Communication Create and maintain product documentation, decision logs, user journeys, and feature documentation. Translate complex information into clear and actionable insights. Support stakeholder communications related to product changes and migration activities. Ensure product decisions and requirements are properly documented. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Product, Technology, QA, Operations, and business stakeholders. Participate in Agile ceremonies, discovery sessions, planning discussions, and backlog reviews. Coordinate across teams to manage dependencies and user impacts. Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Required Qualifications 1-3+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Operations, Digital Products, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience supporting digital platforms, technology products, or operational systems. Ability to quickly learn complex business processes and workflows. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Experience working in Agile environments is preferred. Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Aha!, or similar tools is considered an asset. Experience within financial services or other regulated industries is an asset.
