About the Company Our client is a well-established organization seeking an AML Analyst to support its Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program. The team is focused on identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial crime risks while ensuring compliance with FINTRAC requirements and regulatory standards.

The Opportunity We are seeking an AML Analyst to join the compliance team on a contract basis. This role will focus on transaction monitoring, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), investigations, regulatory reporting, and ongoing AML compliance activities. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with strong AML investigation experience who enjoys analysing complex cases, identifying potential financial crime risks, and working in a fast-paced regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities Perform daily AML compliance activities and case reviews Conduct transaction monitoring reviews and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) investigations Investigate suspicious activity and document findings in accordance with regulatory requirements Review, analyse, and assess financial crime risks Prepare, draft, and submit regulatory reports as required Maintain accurate case documentation, records, and reporting Support AML program enhancements and compliance initiatives Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance Assist with audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance reviews Provide risk-based recommendations to AML leadership

What You Bring Minimum 2 years of experience in AML, Financial Crime, Compliance, KYC, or related areas Strong experience with Transaction Monitoring and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Knowledge of FINTRAC guidelines, PCMLTFA/PCMLTFR, and FATF recommendations Experience conducting AML investigations, case reviews, and risk assessments Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Experience with AML platforms such as Actimize, Refinitiv, LexisNexis, or Dow Jones is highly desirable CAMS and/or CFCS certification considered an asset
