About the job Job Title: Manager, Investor Relations (12–18 Month Maternity Leave Contract) Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite– Downtown Toronto, applicants must be within commuting distance) Base Salary: $125,000–$160,000 (dependent on experience) The Client: Our client is a publicly traded Canadian mining company recognized for operational excellence, disciplined growth, and responsible resource development. They are seeking a Manager, Investor Relations to join their Corporate Development & Investor Relations team on a 12–18-month maternity leave contract. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development & Investor Relations, this role will lead and support the Company's investor relations strategy, public disclosure, and external communications. Working closely with executive leadership, the successful candidate will help communicate the Company's financial performance, operational results, growth strategy, and long-term investment thesis to investors, analysts, and the broader capital markets community. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Investor Relations or capital markets professional who can quickly step into a high-visibility role within a publicly traded organization and make an immediate impact. What you will achieve in this role: • Support the execution of the Company's Investor Relations strategy while effectively communicating its business strategy, operational performance, and long-term value proposition • Prepare high-quality investor presentations, quarterly earnings materials, executive presentations, scripts, and shareholder communications • Draft and coordinate public disclosure documents including press releases, earnings releases, investor presentations, and other external communications • Analyze financial and operational results to develop clear, accurate, and compelling messaging for investors and the investment community • Support quarterly reporting cycles and coordinate investor-facing disclosure materials while ensuring compliance with securities regulations • Monitor analyst coverage, peer activity, shareholder feedback, and capital markets trends to provide meaningful insights to senior leadership • Prepare executive briefing materials for investor meetings, analyst calls, conferences, and roadshows • Coordinate investor conferences, industry events, and non-deal roadshows, including logistics, presentation materials, and executive preparation • Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Technical Services, Sustainability, Legal, and Executive Leadership to gather and validate information for public disclosure • Maintain and enhance investor presentations, fact sheets, website content, and other investor communication materials • Support continuous disclosure requirements while ensuring compliance with applicable securities legislation and stock exchange requirements • Identify opportunities to improve Investor Relations processes, reporting, communication materials, and stakeholder engagement initiatives • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, equity research analysts, and external stakeholders What you must bring to this role: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Communications, or a related discipline • 5+ years of progressive experience in Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Equity Research, Capital Markets, or a related field • Experience supporting a publicly traded company is required • Strong understanding of financial statements, financial reporting, and capital markets • Experience preparing investor presentations, quarterly earnings materials, executive communications, and public disclosure documents • Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational performance • Experience coordinating quarterly reporting cycles and continuous disclosure activities • Excellent written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail • Outstanding verbal communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior executives, investors, and analysts • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications • Investor Relations experience within the mining or natural resources sector • Familiarity with NI 43-101 reporting standards and mining disclosure requirements • Experience working with institutional investors and sell-side equity research analysts • Experience coordinating investor conferences, roadshows, and industry events Why Join? • Opportunity to play a highly visible role supporting executive leadership within a publicly traded mining organization • Broad exposure to Investor Relations strategy, corporate communications, public disclosure, and capital markets • Work directly with senior executives and gain exposure to investors, analysts, and the broader investment community • Collaborative, high-performing corporate environment with cross-functional leadership exposure • Competitive compensation package including: • Annual base salary of $125,000–$160,000 • Extended health and dental coverage • Health Care Spending Account • Life, AD&D, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability insurance • Opportunity to gain valuable experience supporting a publicly traded mining company during a critical leadership transition Only those who are qualified will be contacted.
