Hiring: Senior Tax & Fund Accounting Specialist Location: Toronto (preferred) or Vancouver, BC
Hybrid: 1–2 days onsite per week Salary: $95,000–$100,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We're looking for an experienced Senior Tax & Fund Accounting Specialist to join a collaborative investment management team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead tax reporting for mutual funds while supporting fund reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic business initiatives. What You'll Be Doing Lead tax reporting and tax strategy for a portfolio of mutual funds. Oversee fund distributions, tax filings, T3 reporting, withholding tax, and corporate actions. Support fund events, including mergers, rebalancing, and new fund launches. Monitor Canadian and international tax regulations and implement new requirements. Prepare tax disclosures for regulatory reporting. Partner with auditors, internal business teams, and external service providers. Contribute to financial statements, fund reporting, and special projects. Recommend tax-efficient solutions and process improvements. What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in investment fund taxation and fund accounting. Experience within mutual funds, asset management, or fund administration. Strong knowledge of Canadian investment fund taxation. Experience with fund distributions, regulatory reporting, and working with auditors. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. University degree or college diploma in a related field. CPA designation is an asset.
