Business Analyst / Scrum Master / Tester
About the role
Role Title: Business Analyst / Scrum Master / Tester Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid) Employment Type: Contract Project Overview The successful candidate will join a dedicated Agile Scrum team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the client’s mission-critical mandate applications. The role will primarily support an internal custom-built .NET/C# application with a SQL Server database that is used to calculate deposit insurance coverage and process payouts during bank failures. The position requires a versatile professional who can effectively perform Business Analyst, Scrum Master, and Quality Assurance (QA) responsibilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Software Testing. 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst. Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum environments. Proven experience with requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation methodologies. Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and functional specifications. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing practices, and defect management processes. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications Scrum Master experience and Agile team facilitation experience. Experience supporting Scrum teams in complex enterprise environments. Strong QA background with experience across multiple testing phases. Experience working with mission-critical applications. Familiarity with .NET/C#, SQL Server-based applications is an asset. Experience in financial services, insurance, or regulatory environments is an advantage.
