Accounting Manager

Reporting to senior leadership, the Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager will oversee full-cycle accounting activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
The position includes responsibility for month-end close, cash flow reporting, account reconciliations, inventory accounting, accounts payable and receivable oversight, payroll coordination, tax compliance, and support for external audits and financial due diligence activities
Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, and investigate discrepancies with department leaders Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and key business metrics Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures Support external accountants, auditors, lenders, and other stakeholders by providing reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation Coordinate tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and financing account transactions Perform detailed inventory reconciliations and support the inventory accounting process Assist with process improvements and financial system optimization initiatives
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field CPA designation required Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to financial reporting, analysis, and operational accounting Experience with ERP systems Strong understanding of inventory accounting and financial processes within consumer products, retail, manufacturing, distribution, or e-commerce environments Experience with Inventory reconciliations, Cost accounting, Supplier deposit and Foreign exchange transactions Advanced Excel skills; experience with VBA, macros, or automation tools is an asset Knowledge of ASPE and/or IFRS. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
