Mastercard's Disputes organization builds next-generation solutions that transform how disputes are prevented, managed, and resolved across the global payments ecosystem. Across our interdisciplinary teams, we create differentiated product experiences for issuers, acquirers, merchants, and consumers by leveraging actionable insights, deep payments expertise, and advanced technologies. Through our product portfolios, we partner with cross-functional teams to define key focus areas where we co-invest to create, incubate, and scale new dispute prevention and resolution capabilities.
The Manager, Product Development role is a key part of the Disputes portfolio, focused on building innovative solutions that address pain points across the dispute lifecycle
Role
• Help drive the generation and analysis of new concepts and solutions for the Disputes portfolio, interfacing with internal product teams, customers, and end-users. • Own the development of concepts into commercial products—from concept through pilot, incubation, and commercialization—leveraging Engineering, Customer Research, and Experience Design teams. • Develop and own product roadmaps, pilot launch plans, and business cases throughout the product development process. • Build relationships across Global Products, Technology, and regional teams to support the delivery of new dispute solutions. • Support the ideation and development of a strong pipeline of disputes-focused initiatives, leveraging internal and external relationships across the payments ecosystem. • Use a data-driven approach to assess market opportunities and to build business cases incorporating accurate representations of future revenues, expense bases, and impact metrics (e.g., dispute deflection, resolution efficiency, customer adoption).
All About You
• Experience developing and commercializing new products, ideally within payments, disputes, fraud, risk, or identity solutions; domain experience in e-commerce, identity verification, or authentication is strongly preferred. • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, with a demonstrated track record of generating, structuring, and promoting innovative ideas that achieve business targets. • Knowledge of first-party fraud and associated industry challenges is a plus. • Experience translating business requirements (internal and external) into technical product requirements and product strategies. • Strong technical background with the ability to work directly with data—comfortable analyzing large datasets, interpreting system and transaction flows, and partnering closely with engineering teams. • Proven project management and thought leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across global, multi-cultural, and remote teams. • Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a successful track record of engaging at senior levels both internally and with customers. • A strong interest in and understanding of the payments industry, dispute lifecycle dynamics, and/or B2B2C ecosystems. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
