We have a culture that encourages an entrepreneurial spirit We offer multiple opportunities for development and upward mobility Position Summary: The Processing Specialist operates in a fast-paced environment and is responsible for accurate and timely receipt, processing, reconciliation, and recording of, cheques, electronic payments, and other financial transactions. This role ensures compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements while maintaining the integrity of financial records. This opportunity is ideal for a strong team player with advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail, who is looking to build on their accounting knowledge and grow their career in the financial services industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receive, verify and process cheque, wire transfers, EFTs, credit card payments, and other receipts to loan contracts. Process and manage the administration of changes to premium funding contracts as requested by clients (i.e. payment collection, changes to policies and renewals) Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, unidentified receipts, and allocation issues. Perform daily cash reconciliation, including balancing transactions including payments, deposits, credits and other financial transactions Prepare and post journal entries within loan management and funding platforms, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of loan transactions Execute loan funding, payment processing, and collection activities using banking platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures. Provide prompt and effective support to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues. Maintain compliance with approved procedures, internal controls, and audit requirements. Other duties as required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Required: 1–3 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to day-to-day financial operations Strong understanding of journal entries Advanced Excel skills and strong overall systems proficiency Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify issues and follow through on resolutions Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and functions Training / Education / Experience Qualifications: University/college degree in Accounting or Finance generally preferred Compensation: The estimated hourly rate for this role is $21.54 - $28.21, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus.
