Our client is seeking a hands-on General Accountant to join their collaborative accounting team in Etobicoke. Responsibilities: Process and reconcile accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholder Prepare and coordinate vendor payments via cheque, EFT, and wire transfer, while responding to payment-related inquiries Apply customer payments accurately and investigate payment discrepancies, deductions, credits, and account adjustment Communicate with customers regarding payment issues and assist with monitoring outstanding accounts receivable balance Maintain accurate accounting records and enter transactions into QuickBooks in a timely manner Organize and archive accounting documentation, including invoices, remittances, and supporting record Support month-end activities by ensuring accounting transactions are processed accurately and on schedule Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency within the accounting function

Qualifications: Experience in a general and full-cycle accounting Experience within food manufacturing or working with deductions is considered an asset but not required Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a hands-on environment with a variety of accounting responsibilities Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute
