About the role
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. The position is essential for supporting budgeting, account reconciliation, and financial analysis activities, providing a vital backbone for our company's operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks accounting software
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
- Perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Support budgeting activities by preparing relevant reports and data summaries
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Prepare financial statements and reports as needed for management review
- Collaborate with auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with familiarity in QuickBooks accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial reporting standards
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external auditors
- Prior experience in using QuickBooks accounting software for bookkeeping tasks is essential
