What – The Role Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will serve as a trusted second-in-command for global accounting & finance operations, including financial reporting, cash management & treasury, operational accounting, audit, internal controls, tax, etc. Leading a small team of accounting professionals. This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll mentor and develop a team, streamline processes, strengthen financial operations, improve systems, and help build the finance function for the future.

Who – The Candidate On behalf of our client, SWIM is looking for a new Controller with at least 12 years of progressive and relevant work experience and a very well-rounded skillset. We are looking for candidates who enjoy rolling up their sleeves to solve problems, build scalable processes, and lead teams through change. Qualified folks for this role will be comfortable navigating complex IFRS accounting matters, managing ongoing change, and partnering with business leaders to improve performance. Ideally candidates will have experience with companies with active Canadian and US operations, and exposure to business operations elsewhere (Europe, Australasia, etc.) is a big perk. Post-acquisition integration experience is a significant asset. CPA designation highly preferred. Experience in technology and/or healthcare is highly preferred but not required for someone business savvy who is hungry to learn. The successful candidate for this role will be someone who is energized by opportunities to create lasting improvements rather than simply maintain the status quo. How Much Base salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, and skillset, likely in the ballpark of $130,000 to $155,000. Future opportunity for upside based on personal performance, team performance, and overall company performance. Please discuss your total compensation expectations in further detail with SWIM.

Where Remote within Canada, with a preference for candidates located in the Greater Toronto Area. MUST WORK EST HOURS. Candidates in British Columbia or Alberta will also be considered if able and happy to work Eastern Time business hours on a permanent basis (i.e. 6am start).
