Our client is a well-established, growing professional services organization seeking a Controller to join its leadership team. Reporting to senior leadership, the Controller will oversee the organization's accounting and financial reporting functions while partnering closely with operations to support business performance. This is a hands-on leadership role offering broad exposure to financial operations, system enhancements, project accounting, and strategic initiatives

Key Responsibilitie s:Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processe s.Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and management reportin g.Manage the annual external audit process and maintain strong internal control s.Oversee project accounting, including work-in-progress (WIP), revenue recognition, project profitability, and financial performance reportin g.Partner with operational leaders to improve project reporting, forecasting, utilization, and overall business performanc e.Ensure the integrity of billing, costing, and project financial data across the organizatio n.Lead process improvement initiatives focused on scalability, efficiency, and reporting enhancement s.Drive finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations, system optimization, automation, and reporting improvement s.Develop financial dashboards, KPIs, and operational reporting to support executive decision-makin g.Mentor and develop members of the finance team while fostering a collaborative, high-performance cultur e.Participate in strategic initiatives and other special projects as the organization continues to evolv

Qualificatio ns:CPA designation preferr ed.Progressive accounting and finance leadership experience within an engineering, construction, architecture, consulting, or other project-based environme nt.Strong understanding of project accounting, including work-in-progress (WIP), percentage-of-completion, and project profitability analys is.Experience supporting time-and-materials and/or project-based billing environments is strongly preferr ed.Proven experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems and financial reporting process es.Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience managing financial reporting and external audi ts.Demonstrated success leading process improvements and finance transformation initiativ es.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across the busine ss.Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environme
