About the position
Haywood is currently recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join its Finance department on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Controller and Treasury Lead, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their commitment to providing exceptional customer/client service, attention to detail and a willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges as they arise.
Responsibilities include
- Process all daily bank transfers and outgoing wire transfer requests including receiving the request, obtaining/reviewing it for appropriate approval, inputting the request in the required banking system, and managing the release of the payment
- Journal all incoming and outgoing wires in various currencies
- Investigate and provide resolution to any outstanding wire transfer processing problems
- Answer questions and provide information to Introducing Brokers, Banks, and Investment Advisors in relation to wire transfer requests
- Work closely with other departments including Credit, Compliance and Operations
- Prepare reconciliations for various other balance sheet accounts, including intercompany balances, on a reoccurring weekly or monthly basis
- Backup to client deposits, cheques, and EFTs
- Backup to foreign exchange reconciliation and hedging
- Backup to money markets trading
- Backup to cash flow monitoring
- Various other projects and duties as required
Education & Qualifications
- Banking or brokerage experience is preferred
- Experience with multi-currency wire transfer processing is preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in an office environment
- Execlear/Dataphile Desktop knowledge & intermediate level Excel skills an asset
