Role overview: This combined role is split approximately 50/50 between client finance analysis and campaign funding, payment processing and reconciliation. The position supports client financial management, including reporting, budget tracking, revenue forecasting, WIP review, billing readiness, client financial health monitoring, account team guidance, master data support, contract review and pricing inputs. The role also manages the financial administration of influencer and creator campaigns through CreatorIQ, helping ensure client and campaign financial data is accurate, complete and aligned across internal finance systems, trackers and external platform records. This role works closely with finance leadership, account teams, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, client stakeholders and external platform partners to support accurate financial execution and timely issue resolution. Client Finance Analyst Duties Support client financial management, including budget tracking, revenue forecasting, WIP review, billing readiness and financial reporting Proactively identify and escalate issues affecting client financial health, including budget risks, receivable concerns, contractual end dates, margin pressure, over-servicing and billing issues Provide guidance to account teams on client finance ways of working, including best practices for budget tracking, billing readiness, approvals and issue follow-up Set up and maintain budget trackers where needed, and support accurate client and project master data including payment terms, rate cards, approvers and related finance details Support billing quality and account operations through secondary review of billing packages and invoices, job code requests, write-off forms and other finance process requirements Assist with month-end activities, including revenue review, accruals, deferrals, reconciliations, WIP updates, forecast revenue updates and variance explanations Support new client contract review, pricing inputs and finance-related onboarding requirements Partner with account teams and finance stakeholders on project status, scope changes, billing timing, forecast updates and client finance risks Campaign Funding, Payment Processing and Reconciliation Specialist Duties Manage campaign funding requirements, coordinate PO details and ensure campaigns are funded accurately and on schedule Track campaign payment activity, including funding status, invoice approvals, payment progress and remaining balances Coordinate with internal teams, client teams and external platform partners to resolve missing information, funding adjustments, invoice questions and payment issues Prepare tax reconciliations and journal entries by reviewing payment activity against applicable tax amounts and flagging discrepancies before unused funds are finalized Reconcile campaign financial activity, including POs, invoices, payments, tax reconciliation, credit memos and remaining balances Qualifications, Skills and Experience Minimum 3 years of finance experience in PR, advertising, consulting or professional services Bilingual proficiency in English and French, with the ability to communicate clearly with internal teams, client stakeholders and external partners Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, filters, lookups, pivot tables and structured trackers Working proficiency in Maconomy and CreatorIQ is an asset Experience with purchase orders, invoice processing, payment tracking, budget reconciliation and related finance operations Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records across multiple trackers, files and financial data sources Ability to follow repeatable monthly processes while identifying exceptions, missing information and required adjustments Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with finance, account teams, client stakeholders and external platform contacts Understanding of basic tax, invoice and compliance review concepts is an asset Success Measures Client financial reporting, budget tracking, WIP updates, forecast inputs and month-end support are accurate, timely and clearly communicated Client financial health risks, including budget issues, receivable concerns, contractual end dates, margin pressure and billing risks, are identified and escalated promptly Account teams are supported with clear finance guidance, budget trackers, billing readiness support, master data updates and account operations requirements Campaigns are funded accurately and on schedule, with payment activity, balances, PO information and reconciliation steps tracked consistently Tax reconciliation, tax journal entries, credit memos and final campaign reconciliations are completed accurately and in the correct sequence Finance trackers and supporting records remain current, complete and reliable for stakeholder review, decision-making and audit support #LI-YA1 You belong at Burson: Our vision is for Burson to be the leading ‘academy company’ for creative communications professionals and emerging leaders.
