Our challenge We are seeking a highly hands-on and proactive Production Support Analyst / Engineer with Salesforce Admin Certification to support and maintain critical enterprise applications, with a strong focus on capital markets trading and risk systems. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in production support for large-scale, global platforms and be comfortable working across application support, system monitoring, scripting, incident management, and stakeholder coordination. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can quickly gain deep functional and technical knowledge of supported applications, act as a subject matter expert, and ensure high system availability, stability, and performance. The candidate should also be experienced in working with cross-functional teams, managing production issues, and driving continuous improvement through automation and operational excellence.
Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $100K - CAD $120K/year & benefits (see below).
The Role Responsibilities: Provide ongoing production support and maintenance for capital markets trading and risk systems. Monitor application health, stability, and performance to ensure business continuity and optimal system uptime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, infrastructure, business, and support teams to resolve issues and improve system performance. Troubleshoot and support environments across Linux, Windows, SQL, and database platforms. Automate recurring operational and support tasks using scripting languages such as Python, PERL, or similar. Manage and resolve incident, problem, and change requests in alignment with ITIL principles. Build, maintain, and enhance proactive monitoring and alerting using tools such as ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics, and Dynatrace. Support deployment and operational processes across CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, Nexus, Jenkins, and Ansible. Document support procedures, issues, root cause analysis, operational knowledge, and user stories using Confluence and Jira. Quickly learn new applications and business processes, become a Subject Matter Expert (SME), and provide user guidance and training where required. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and successful delivery of support and enhancement activities. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve support processes, automation, monitoring, and operational workflows.
Requirements: Salesforce Admin Certified is mandatory. Proven experience in production support for large-scale, enterprise-wide, global trading and risk platforms. Strong hands-on experience with application support, issue troubleshooting, and system maintenance. Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, PERL, or similar languages. Solid technical understanding of Linux, Windows, SQL, and database concepts. Experience with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes. Strong experience with monitoring and observability tools such as ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or equivalent. Experience supporting CI/CD and release automation using GitHub, Nexus, Jenkins, and Ansible. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure production support environment. Highly disciplined in documenting procedures, issues, and operational knowledge. Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred skills: Knowledge of Capital Markets and the sales lifecycle. Prior experience supporting financial services or trading environments. Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional project coordination. Ability to rapidly understand new systems and business workflows.
