About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join AEC’s growing accounting team. This role focuses primarily on accounts payable support and transactional accounting functions. You will report directly to the Accounting Manager based in Pasadena, California, and work closely with a small but highly collaborative international accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build strong accounting fundamentals in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while gaining exposure to both Canadian and US financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support accounts payable processes and daily transactional accounting activities Process and reconcile corporate credit card transactions Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records Assist with invoice processing and AP support functions Maintain and update financial data using Excel Support month-end close activities as required Collaborate with cross-border teams in Canada and the United States Contribute to process improvements and ongoing automation initiatives

Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Prior experience in accounting, AP, or bookkeeping is an asset Strong proficiency in Excel Experience with Sage is an asset (training will be provided) Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits
Overtime eligibility 2 weeks vacation + 5 additional paid days off Annual salary review Health and insurance benefits Retirement savings plan Annual company offsite in Los Angeles (fully covered) 4 to 5 days at the office.
