The Opportunity

The Finance & Accounting Co-op will support the Finance team with a variety of accounting, reporting, and financial analysis activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end activities, accounts payable, and audit support, while contributing to the exciting startup and growth of production operations.

The successful candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to develop practical accounting and finance experience while working closely with cross-functional teams.

This posting is for a newly created internship position to support our growing manufacturing operations.

What You Will Do

Assist with accounts payable processing and invoice management. Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities. Perform bank account reconciliations and assist with general ledger reconciliations. Help prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records and statements. Support year-end audit activities, including gathering documentation and responding to audit requests. Assist in developing and extending accounting reports to support production startup and operational growth. Perform financial data entry and ensure accuracy within accounting systems. Support basic financial analysis, variance review, and reporting for internal stakeholders. Collaborate with team members across departments to gather information and resolve routine inquiries. Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards. Assist with ad hoc finance and accounting projects as required.

What You Bring

Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement preparation. Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, or financial applications is an asset. Interest in AI tools and their application within finance and accounting processes is considered an asset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Previous internship, co-op, or related work experience is an asset.

Compensation

What We Offer

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $22 to $24 per hour.
