Requisition ID: 266311 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.  The Role As Senior Manager, QI / IRS Tax Reporting, you will lead the Bank's U.S. tax information reporting, withholding, remittance, reconciliation, and compliance obligations under the IRS Qualified Intermediary (QI) Agreement and related U.S. tax regulations. You will provide oversight for U.S. tax reporting programs including Forms 1042-S, 1042, 1099, and 945, FATCA, Chapters 3 and 4 withholding, Section 1446 reporting, and related governance activities across multiple business lines and legal entities. Acting as a senior subject matter expert, you will partner with Operations, Technology, Tax Advisory, Compliance, Legal, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and the successful delivery of tax reporting obligations.   Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:   U.S. Tax Reporting & Regulatory Compliance

Lead annual and periodic U.S. tax reporting obligations, including Forms 1042-S, 1042, 1099, 945, FATCA reporting, Chapters 3 and 4 withholding, Section 1446 reporting, QI reporting, and U.S. REIT/RIC and LPU reporting Ensure accurate withholding, remittance, reconciliation, certification, and reporting of U.S.-source income across applicable business lines and legal entities Oversee tax reporting calendars, production schedules, filing deadlines, control checkpoints, and management attestations Monitor regulatory developments impacting QI, FATCA, withholding tax, and IRS reporting requirements, and lead implementation of required changes

  Governance, Controls & Risk Management

Maintain governance frameworks, policies, procedures, control documentation, and recordkeeping requirements supporting U.S. tax reporting programs Oversee reconciliations, withholding validations, remittance controls, exception management, and supporting control activities Lead audit, regulatory, and QI review activities, including issue management, remediation, and stakeholder engagement Act as the primary escalation point for complex tax reporting, withholding, documentation, and regulatory matters

  Tax Operations & Transformation

Lead end-to-end annual tax campaign execution, including production readiness, vendor coordination, testing, issue resolution, and form issuance Drive process improvements through automation, standardization, data governance, and operational efficiency initiatives Partner with Technology and Operations teams to deliver system enhancements, regulatory changes, and transformation initiatives Support modernization efforts focused on reporting efficiency, data quality, and control effectiveness

  Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Partner with Tax Advisory, Compliance, Legal, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Treasury, Operations, and external vendors to deliver regulatory and business initiatives Provide executive reporting, risk updates, and decision-support materials to senior leadership Lead, coach, and develop managers and tax reporting professionals Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and strong risk management

  Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

Prior experience in tax reporting, withholding, tax operations, regulatory reporting, or related financial services functions Deep knowledge of IRS Qualified Intermediary (QI) requirements, FATCA, Chapters 3 and 4 regulations, Section 1446, and Forms 1042, 1042-S, 1099, and 945 Experience leading tax reporting or tax operations functions within banking, brokerage, custody, wealth management, capital markets, or similar financial services environments Experience managing audits, regulatory examinations, QI reviews, governance processes, reconciliations, remittances, and control frameworks Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, and regulatory compliance requirements Demonstrated experience leading regulatory, operational, or technology-driven change initiatives Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills Experience leading teams and developing talent in complex operational environments Professional designation such as CPA, CA, CGA, CMA, Master of Taxation, In-Depth Tax Program, PMP, or equivalent is preferred Experience with Broadridge platforms and systems including TFP, TXSY, CDS, DTCC, BFS, and AS400 is an asset Experience supporting securities lending, custody, wealth management, capital markets, or other investment servicing businesses is an asset.
