Role Description: This is a full-time remote role for a Mortgage Agent at TMG The Mortgage Group. The Mortgage Agent will work with clients to assess their financing needs, explain mortgage products, and recommend suitable lending solutions. Daily responsibilities include collecting and analyzing client documentation, submitting applications to lenders, and following up to ensure timely approvals and funding. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with lender partners, staying current with mortgage regulations and market trends, and leveraging TMG’s technology tools to manage files efficiently. The Mortgage Agent will also engage in client outreach and mortgage marketing activities to build a sustainable pipeline of business and provide ongoing support throughout the mortgage lifecycle.

Qualifications Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry, including current regulations, market trends, and best practices. Experience with mortgage servicing and managing the end-to-end mortgage process from application to funding and post-closing support. Practical experience working with mortgages, including product comparison, risk assessment, and client suitability analysis. Skills in mortgage marketing, including client acquisition, relationship building, and using digital channels to grow a book of business. Background in mortgage lending, including working with multiple lenders, understanding underwriting guidelines, and negotiating terms. Relevant provincial licensing or registration as a mortgage agent/broker, or eligibility and willingness to obtain it. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information in clear, client-friendly language. Comfort with remote work, including proficiency with CRM systems, digital document tools, and virtual communication platforms. Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple files simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
