Partner Development Lead — M&A Deal Sourcing

About the role

Sentinel Corporate Development is an M&A advisory firm that sources proprietary, off-market acquisition targets for roll-ups, consolidators, and their private equity sponsors. Our partners pay monthly retainers for dedicated sourcing capacity — we currently serve a growing base of platform buyers and have a proven engine behind them.

We’re hiring one person to grow that partner base, end to end.

The role:

You own the entire motion. You’ll identify roll-ups and PE sponsors actively acquiring in their space, build your own target lists, reach out cold (email, phone, LinkedIn), pitch our deal-sourcing model to principals and corporate development leads, and close monthly retainer partnerships. No handoffs, no SDR feeding you — you find them, you sign them.

What you’ll do:

• Build and work your own lists of acquisitive platforms and PE sponsors • Open relationships from cold and run the pitch through to a signed retainer agreement • Negotiate terms within clear guardrails we set together • Hand new partners to our account team and move to the next one • Work remotely, but full-time and fully dedicated — this is your only professional commitment

This is not a side engagement. The role is remote but it is a full-time, exclusive position with daily activity, a live pipeline reviewed weekly, and availability during North American business hours. If you’re balancing multiple clients or another job, this isn’t the fit.

You’re a fit if you:

• Have sold B2B services, deal flow, or advisory relationships to executives or investors — and can point to deals you originated yourself, first touch to close • Are comfortable on the phone with owners, principals, and corp dev leads • Understand the basics of how roll-ups and PE platforms grow through acquisition (or can learn fast) • Can commit to this full-time and exclusively — no other clients, jobs, or ventures • Want commission-weighted comp with real upside and no cap

Compensation:

Contract trial: monthly draw plus 25% of the first six months of retainer revenue on every partner you sign (a single $5k/mo partner pays you $7,500 in commission).

Convert to full-time on results: base salary + 15% of first-year retainer revenue per partner + trailing revenue share.

Realistic on-target earnings $150k+; uncapped.
