Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Competition: Open Until Filled About the Position Paqtnkek Mi’kmaw Nation is seeking a motivated, experienced, and customer-focused individual to serve as the Manager of Bayside Entertainment Centre. Reporting to the Economic Development Officer(EDO) or designate, the Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, daily operations, financial performance, staff supervision, and customer experience of the Entertainment Centre. The successful candidate will foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring the facility operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and licensing requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and day-to-day management of the Bayside Entertainment Centre. Recruit, supervise, mentor, schedule, and evaluate staff. Promote exceptional customer service and maintain a welcoming environment for patrons. Develop and monitor operating budgets and financial reports. Ensure accurate cash handling, inventory control, and reconciliation procedures. Monitor revenue and expenditures while identifying opportunities to improve profitability. Ensure compliance with all gaming, liquor, occupational health and safety, and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures. Coordinate marketing initiatives, special events, and community promotions. Address customer concerns and resolve operational issues professionally. Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Prepare reports and provide updates to senior management as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is considered an asset. Minimum of three (3) years of progressive management or supervisory experience. Experience in hospitality, entertainment, gaming, retail, or customer service environments is preferred. Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills. Strong financial management, budgeting, and reporting abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized point-of-sale systems. Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence. Criminal Records Check Assets Experience working within Indigenous organizations or communities. Knowledge of gaming operations and regulatory compliance. First Aid/CPR certification.
