About the role

Permanent Full Time 

   Reporting to the AVP, Change Management, the Manager, Change Management is responsible for leading and delivering change management activities that support strategic business initiatives across Canada Life. This role partners with sponsors and business leaders, project teams, and stakeholders to drive organizational readiness, stakeholder engagement, adoption, and sustainment of change.   The Manager delivers change end to end on projects and programs, provides change management expertise, coaching, and advisory support while ensuring change impacts are assessed and change activities are integrated into project delivery and aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.   What You Will Do   Change Strategy & Delivery

Lead the development and execution of change management strategies and plans for business portfolios and assigned projects and programs. Plan for and conduct change impact assessments and identify stakeholder, process, technology, and organizational impacts across portfolios, projects and programs. Lead the development and implementation across stakeholder engagement, change readiness, communication, training, adoption and sustainment activities in collaboration with project and program teams. Ensure change management activities are integrated into project and program plans for delivery.

  Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory

Partner with business leaders, sponsors, and project teams to support successful change outcomes. Provide coaching and guidance on change leadership, stakeholder management, and change readiness planning. Facilitate workshops and discussions to align stakeholders, address change impacts and enable new ways of working.

  Readiness, Adoption & Sustainment

Assess organizational readiness and develop plans to support successful adoption and sustainment. Identify and mitigate people-related risks, resistance, and change impacts. Monitor stakeholder feedback to inform ongoing change activities. Develop change measurement plans and reporting on adoption metrics and benefits realization.

  Portfolio Support & Continuous Improvement

Support change delivery across multiple initiatives within a portfolio. Track and report on change readiness, adoption, risks, and effectiveness. Contribute to the continuous improvement of change management methodologies, tools, templates, and practices. Mentor junior practitioners and support change management capability development.

  What You Will Bring

Experience leading end to end change management activities in complex business and matrixed environments. Strong knowledge of industry trends and experience with change management principles, methodology, and best practices. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, facilitation, and influencing skills. Ability to assess impacts within projects and programs and across a portfolio, manage competing priorities, and navigate ambiguity. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on measurable outcomes. Experience coaching leaders and supporting sponsor effectiveness. Financial services, insurance, or large-scale transformation experience is an asset.

  Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Communications, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in change management, transformation, business enablement, or related disciplines. People leadership, coaching, mentoring, or team lead experience preferred. Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, ACMP) preferred. Financial Services or Insurance industry experience preferred.

The base salary for this position is between $90,400 - $140,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
