About the role
We’re currently looking for an Internal Accountant to join our Firm Operations team in our Vancouver office. In this role, you will support the firm’s internal finance function through accounts payable, expense processing, reconciliations, reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. Working closely with the Finance team as well as other leaders across the firm, you’ll help ensure accurate financial information, support operational decision-making, and contribute to the day-to-day running of the business.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys accounting and finance operations within a collaborative professional environment and is looking to continue growing their accounting career outside of the traditional CPA public practice path. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of accounting functions, systems, and special projects while working with a supportive team that values organization, accuracy, process improvement, and collaboration.
How you’ll make a difference
- Support accounts payable operations — processing invoices through our automated AP system (Continia), ensuring accurate coding and timely processing of vendor payments via EFT, cheque, and wire transfers.
- Maintain and improve accounting processes — creating and maintaining AP templates, supporting workflow efficiencies, and contributing to process improvements across the finance function.
- Process employee expense reports — reviewing and processing staff expense submissions through our expense software (Suti) while ensuring compliance with internal policies and accuracy of supporting documentation.
- Prepare reconciliations and monthly analysis — completing prepaid analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly staff accrual reporting to support accurate financial reporting.
- Support budgeting and reporting activities — assisting with the annual budgeting process, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting requests for leadership and internal teams.
- Collaborate across the firm — responding to financial inquiries, supporting internal stakeholders, and assisting with special projects and day-to-day finance operations.
- Provide payroll support when required — acting as backup support for payroll-related processes during peak periods or team absences.
Who you are
- 2–3 years of experience working in accounting or finance, ideally in an accounts payable or internal accounting environment
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience working with accounting systems and financial software; exposure to AP automation tools is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Someone who is proactive, eager to learn, and looking for long-term growth within an internal accounting and finance role
- This role is well-suited for someone pursuing a long-term career in accounting and finance operations, including candidates not currently pursuing the CPA designation
What DMCL offers

- Standard 35-hour work week
- Flexible time (equivalent to ~12 additional days off per year, in addition to vacation)
- Mental & physical wellness allowance
- Meal coverage when working beyond 10 hours
- Access to Moore Global training, learning networks, and specialist groups
