Job Purpose The S&C GKA Pricing and Commercial Manager is responsible for driving commercial excellence, pricing governance, profitability enhancement, and value creation across Global Key Accounts, with a primary focus on strategic customers including PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble. The role acts as a critical commercial business partner, working cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, Finance, Operations, and customer teams to optimise pricing strategies, manage commercial investments, improve portfolio performance, and support sustainable business growth. This position plays a key role in delivering competitive advantage through effective pricing management, commercial analysis, profitability improvement initiatives, and coordination of commercial activities across the AmCell business units. Key Responsibilities Pricing & Commercial Management
Manage and maintain customer price books, ensuring timely and accurate updates for key global customers, including PepsiCo and P&G. Lead pricing reviews and support the implementation of pricing strategies that balance competitiveness and profitability. Prepare and manage new business quotations, ensuring commercial viability and alignment with business objectives. Drive cost recovery initiatives through customer negotiations and robust commercial analysis. Support commercial investment decisions through detailed financial evaluation and business case development.
Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work directly with customer cross-functional teams to deliver strategic projects, process improvements, and commercial initiatives. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective execution of commercial priorities. Act as a key commercial liaison between Sales, R&D, Operations, Finance, and customer organisations.
Commercial Performance & Profitability
Manage customer accruals and rebate programmes, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and financial control. Monitor commercial performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve profitability. Lead Value Plus (Val+) ideation and execution activities to continuously improve customer competitiveness while enhancing margin performance. Conduct portfolio analysis and management to support value creation, productivity initiatives, and strategic portfolio optimisation.
Data, Systems & Reporting
Manage and maintain Salesforce (SFDC) commercial workflows, ensuring data integrity and process compliance. Monitor PMDB performance indicators, conduct reviews, and develop action plans to address commercial risks and opportunities. Provide robust commercial insights, reporting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Innovation & Growth Support
Collaborate closely with Sales, R&D, and Operations teams to support innovation pipelines and product development programmes. Provide commercial analysis and market data to support the successful launch of new products and innovations. Support strategic growth initiatives through investment analysis, pricing recommendations, and profit improvement opportunities.
Business Unit Coordination
Coordinate commercial activities across the AmCell business units to ensure consistency of approach, alignment of priorities, and sharing of best practices. Support the development and execution of commercial strategies across global key accounts.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of pricing and profitability targets. Effective management of rebates, accruals, and commercial investments. Successful delivery of cost recovery initiatives. Timely and accurate completion of price book updates and quotations. Improvement in portfolio profitability and value creation metrics. SFDC workflow compliance and process efficiency. Delivery of commercial support for innovation and growth initiatives. Stakeholder and customer satisfaction.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential
Strong commercial, pricing, and financial analysis experience. Experience managing key customer relationships within a complex B2B environment. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive business outcomes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex commercial data. Experience managing rebates, accruals, pricing structures, and profitability analysis. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting capabilities. Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce (SFDC).
Desirable
Experience supporting Global Key Accounts within FMCG, ingredients, manufacturing, packaging, or related sectors. Knowledge of commercial excellence frameworks and value management methodologies. Experience working with multinational customers such as PepsiCo, P&G, or similar blue-chip organisations. Project management experience within a commercial environment.
