Position Department: Athletics Administration Position School: Administration Overview: provides essential operational and administrative support to the athletic department while gaining comprehensive, hands-on experience in collegiate sports management. This role assists with day-to-day business operations, including budget tracking, purchasing, and expense processing. All while ensuring strict adherence to NCAA, conference, and institutional rules through meticulous compliance monitoring and documentation. Ideal for an organized, detail-oriented individual pursuing a career in athletic administration, this position bridges the gap between athletic business strategy and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced division environment. Responsibilities: This individual will split their time between financial administration, regulatory compliance, and general athletic operations. Daily duties include processing expense reports, tracking team budgets, and managing vendor purchases to support the department’s business functions. On the regulatory side, the assistant will monitor playing and practice season logs, update student-athlete eligibility files in compliance software, and assist in researching NCAA and conference rules. Additionally, this role will provide crucial game-day operational support and assist senior athletic leadership with special administrative projects as needed. Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and satisfy all admission requirements for enrollment in the university's graduate school program. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive student-athlete and financial records. Candidates should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with standard office software (such as Microsoft Excel), and a strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate sports management. Prior experience working in a college athletics environment, or a foundational familiarity with NCAA rules and basic accounting practices, is highly preferred.
