We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director, Individual Insurance to lead business development efforts in Ontario’s high-potential market.
Your Role As a Business Development Director, Individual Insurance you will play a key role in maintaining and expanding our distribution network, building strong relationships with advisors and Managing General Agents (MGAs), and driving growth in individual insurance products.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with advisors and MGAs; Identify new partners and support their onboarding; Proactively scheduling the required number of meetings with advisors (online or in person) Promote Humania’s products and services through tailored presentations and training; Promote features of Humania’s products to advisors and partners to achieve sales targets Deliver webinars and ongoing education on our products and digital platforms; Serve as a trusted point of contact and expert resource for partners and advisors; Monitor market trends and contribute to strategic initiatives to maintain competitiveness; Engage in industry events, sponsorships, and public presentations; Establish, contibute and track performance metrics to ensure sales target and growth objectives are met.
What Sets You Apart Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role with life, disability and/or critical illness insurance products Strong sales and business acumen Knowledge of other carrier products and a passion for continuous learning Result-oriented with a strong drive to excel Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Customer-focused with excellent listening and consultative abilities Proven ability to build trust and long-term relationships Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and spoken) Creative, open to feedback, and adaptable to change Proficient in MS Office Suite, internal sales tools, Calendly and mail merge campaigns Home office setup and valid driver’s license required Willingness to travel to Québec twice a year for company events (head office in Saint-Hyacinthe, QC).
