Role Description Bourgault Tillage Tools is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to support the financial reporting and accounting operations of our group of companies. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, the successful candidate will:
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. · Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. · Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records. · Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities. · Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors. · Assist with inventory accounting, costing, and manufacturing reporting. · Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management functions. · Assist with intercompany accounting and consolidations. · Support ERP system initiatives, including NetSuite reporting and process improvements. · Help improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. · Provide financial reporting and analytical support to management.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to multiple business entities, international operations, ERP systems, and continuous business improvement initiatives. Qualifications CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA preferred Degree or diploma in Accounting 3–7 years of accounting experience preferred Manufacturing or multi-entity accounting experience considered a strong asset Knowledge of Canadian and US tax laws, regulations and reporting requirements Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite considered an asset Strong Excel and financial systems skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
