We are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Controller to join our dynamic management team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent quantitative and interpersonal skills. Acting as a business partner, the Plant Controller guides the company management to achieve objectives set by HQ and provides financial direction and recommendations to improve site performance. He’s responsible to oversee the execution of financial processes (monthly closing, Budget, quarterly forecasting) as well as corporate policies. He’s the financial support across departments in the plant and leads any cost saving initiatives. The Plant Controller is also a member of the plant leadership team.

As our business environment is constantly evolving, adaptability and a strong willingness to learn are essential qualities. While experience in the manufacturing or production industry is preferred, it is not a requirement.
Health, Safety & Environment: In addition to the core responsibilities, the Plant Controller will also be responsible for promoting and reinforcing the company's and governmental health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and procedures. It is crucial that all employees under their responsibility adhere to and always follow the HSE rules.
What you will do: • You will be responsible for the development, analysis, and monitoring of the plant’s financial information including forecasts, budgets, and standard costs in alignment with the annual business plan. • You will prepare monthly reporting and presentations including the appropriate level of qualitative comments. • You will ensure accurate and timely reporting on profitability by product, project, customer, and operational KPIs. • You will coordinate the budgeting and forecasting / re-forecasting process based on financial analyses by plant, cost center, and business indicators. • You will analyze actual performance and provide reasons for variances (vs Budget, forecast) as well as recommended actions. • You will participate in capital expenditures projects: evaluate current expenditures, provide data in support of business cases for capital expenditures, and estimate costs to support quoting activities. • In conjunction with corporate policies monitor and implement the necessary internal controls to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks. • You will monitor inventories including but not limited to Finish Goods, Raw Materials, Work in Progress, Tooling, and Fixed Assets. • Examine and analyze financial records, documents, and systems to ensure compliance with legal requirements and accounting standards controls. • Participate in internal and external audits: financial, operational, monthly inventory, etc. • Prepare reports on audit findings and make recommendations to improve business practices. • Share best practices or provides expert advice to teams on financial and operational matters, process improvements, and procedure changes.
Are you the missing piece of the puzzle? • You have a university degree in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Management. • You have a professional designation as a Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) (an asset). • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial or controller role. • You have professional experience in a manufacturing environment (an important asset). • You have excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and Excel in particular. • You have experience with ERP applications. • You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • You have a strong ability to work well under pressure in a deliverable context. • You have strong interpersonal abilities and communication skills. • You are fully bilingual, in English and French, written and spoken.
