Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for supporting the accounts payable process for our clients in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Specific accounts payable responsibilities include:

Facilitate regular cheque runs inclusive of printing, sorting, and mailing out cheques

Ensure cheques are delivered according to the delivery instructions and coordinate couriers and pick-ups as required

Download, manage, and track utility invoices to ensure timely payment and processing of utility payments

Process high volume of invoices with precision and focused attention to detail
-
Code and approve utility invoices with tight due dates and ensure timely payments are made
-
Analyze, research, and resolve accounts with issues
-
Administration of electronic invoice processing platform as needed
-
Manage and update vendor information as required

Process void cheque requests which may involve placing stop payments via an online banking platform

Manage and execute other monthly accounts payable processes including monthly recurring payables and post-dated cheques

Answer vendor, strata/property manager, and property accountant inquiries promptly

This role involves accuracy, ability to do high volume data entry and speed. The role is well suited for people with excellent clerical and customer service skills.
Salary Range:
$43,000,00-$46,000.00
Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.

Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.

May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.

Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.

Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.

Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications
A minimum one year experience in a high volume, numeric typing position. In addition, the successful candidate will possess:

Basic knowledge in Accounting Fundamentals – Accounts Payable Cycle

Strong technology skills with an aptitude to adapt to and learn new softwares

Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and multitasking skills

Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Capability to manage numerous guidelines and procedures

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Excellent computer skills, experience with accounting software, Microsoft Excel and Word
Knowledge & Proficiencies

Strong accuracy and numeric typing speed

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Advanced computer skills and the ability to train others in system usage are assets.
