NOW HIRING: Temporary Assistant Controller AWS/Canadian Executive Search Group (CES) is seeking an experienced Temporary Assistant Controller to join our client's team in Windsor, ON! Location: Windsor, ON Position Type: Full-Time Contract (3–4 months) Pay Rate: $32–$40/hour Start Date: Immediate – Must be available to start quickly We are looking for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong financial reporting experience to support month-end close activities, compliance initiatives, and day-to-day accounting operations. 📌 Key Responsibilities: ✅ Support month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries in accordance with U.S. and Canadian GAAP ✅ Maintain compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements while ensuring accurate documentation and audit trails ✅ Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies ✅ Maintain general ledger accuracy, transactional records, bookings, and backlog reporting ✅ Analyze and reconcile job costing transactions for accurate financial reporting ✅ Reconcile bank accounts and review daily banking activity ✅ Prepare weekly cash forecasts and support cash flow planning ✅ Coordinate weekly payment runs and ensure accurate vendor payments ✅ Support accounts payable operations, including reviewing payments and workflow processes ✅ Manage corporate credit card reconciliations and compliance ✅ Review employee expense reports and ensure policy adherence ✅ Provide financial reporting, analysis, and support for process improvement initiatives 🎯 Qualifications: ✔ College diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field ✔ Strong knowledge of GAAP principles ✔ Accounting experience within a manufacturing environment is an asset ✔ Experience with Sage 300 is preferred ✔ Strong attention to detail and accuracy ✔ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills ✔ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines ✔ Strong communication and organizational skills ✔ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables If you are an accounting professional looking for an immediate contract opportunity in Windsor, ON, we want to hear from you! 📩 Send your resume to: Brittany@canadianexecutivesearch.com
