Actively looking for Accountant

Location: Chilliwack, BC

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Review and verify transactional activity, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries Complete key balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, AR, AP, inventory, and accruals Perform monthly subledger-to-general ledger reconciliations Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and financial adjustments Analyze budget and forecast variances and provide meaningful insights Assist with cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data Support audit processes and ensure documentation is complete and organized Provide accounting support to the Assistant Controller and leadership team

Qualifications & Experience

CPA designation completed or currently in progress is preferred 5+ years of accounting experience in a senior or intermediate accounting role Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles Experience working with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and accuracy
