Job Overview The Finance Manager, Procurement is responsible for leading the Procurement Finance function and supporting the Procurement team through financial planning, analysis, reporting, forecasting, and performance management. This role partners closely with Procurement and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure financial integrity, optimize sourcing strategies, identify risks and opportunities, and drive business performance through data-driven decision-making. Location: This position is based out of our Head Office at 15 Marmac Drive (Etobicoke, Ontario) and is hybrid. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary Finance business partner to the Procurement team across Ingredients, Packaging, and Indirect categories, providing financial guidance and support on sourcing decisions, supplier evaluations, pricing models, and business cases. Develop and maintain analysis and reporting frameworks to understand the impact of commodity markets, inflation, and deflation on input costs. Lead the Procurement budgeting, forecasting, and latest estimate (LE) processes, ensuring accurate assumptions and financial integrity. Deliver monthly Procurement financial reporting, including purchase price variance (PPV), productivity, days payable outstanding (DPO), savings tracking, and risk identification. Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess performance, risks, and opportunities and provide recommendations to drive results. Influence sourcing and supplier strategies through financial analysis and data-driven insights. Govern, validate, and track Procurement savings, productivity initiatives, and DPO performance, ensuring compliance with corporate finance standards and reporting requirements. Partner with Commodity Price Risk Management teams and external stakeholders to monitor commodity exposure, hedging positions, and financial impacts. Prepare and present executive-level reporting and communications related to commodity exposure, coverage, and hedge activities. Lead Procurement-related month-end close activities, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Lead Procurement productivity tracking and ensure transparency of project-level impacts to the P&L while supporting the annual budget and forecasting processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by removing process bottlenecks, enhancing reporting capabilities, and increasing operational efficiencies. Ensure alignment among Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Commercial Finance teams regarding financial assumptions, results, and performance tracking. Support cross-functional and ad hoc initiatives, including total cost ownership (TCO) analysis, optimization projects, and value-creation opportunities. Lead onboarding and training of the Procurement team members on key financial processes, tools, and reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, SOX requirements, food safety standards, and health and safety regulations. The Recipe for Success Completion of a university degree in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of accounting and financial analysis experience. Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams at a Manager level. CPA, CMA, or CGA designation completed or in progress is considered an asset; MBA is also an asset. Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of manufacturing finance, standard costing, inventory management, and financial planning processes. Proven ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders. Results-oriented with strong attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leadership. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive continuous improvement, and implement innovative solutions. Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications and ERP systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
