Our client, a well-established and reputable organization, is seeking a Senior Accounting Technician to join its Financial Reporting team. In this role, you will contribute to the preparation of financial statements, the analysis of accounting data, and the support of audit activities, while serving as a technical resource for your colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare and record complex adjusting journal entries.
- Perform required account reconciliations, analyses, and accounting controls.
- Analyze and explain financial variances.
- Prepare documentation required for audits and reviews.
- Contribute to the production of financial information for various stakeholders.
- Participate in tax management and ensure compliance with fiscal and regulatory requirements.
- Identify improvement opportunities and optimize accounting processes.
- Act as a resource person for more complex technical matters.
- Perform any other related duties.

Requirements
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Accounting, Finance, Administrative Techniques, or any other relevant field of study.
- Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience.
- Experience preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations, and managing audit files.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of CaseWare and CaseView (an asset).
Salary: Approximately $80,000, depending on experience
Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
Status: Permanent
