This is a full-time 1-year contract position offering an hourly rate of $46 - $56 (commensurate with the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications and skills). A discretionary bonus may be awarded upon the successful completion of the project. We offer hybrid work arrangements for those who live within 50km of our Head Office. Remote arrangements can be made for those living farther away, with some exceptions. About the Role Reporting to the VP, Business Technology (BT), the Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of Educator’s enterprise-wide transformation initiative. This role is accountable for planning, executing, governing, and delivering all aspects of the migration, including business process redesign, operational readiness, data conversion, vendor coordination, key partner engagement, testing, training, post-implementation stabilization and collaboration regarding change management. This position requires a leader experienced in digital transformation with strong knowledge of wealth management operations and a proven track record delivering large-scale platform migrations involving dealer systems, back-office platforms, advisor servicing models, client reporting, regulatory compliance processes, and operational change. This posting is to fill a newly created temporary position within Educators. Key Responsibilities As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for leading the full lifecycle of strategic transformation project within wealth management operations by: Regularly communicating with internal and external parties, including the Executive Leadership Team, working team, employees, external partners through structured reporting, meetings, and steering committee updates. Coordinating activities with internal business teams, consultants, integration partners, and third-party vendors. Managing work teams by holding people accountable to scope, timing and budget on assigned tasks. Building capability within the organization to manage project governance, communication, scope, timing and budget by providing processes, training, tools, and coaching. Driving accountability across sales, operations, compliance, finance, business technology, client service, and external vendor teams. Identifying and resolving project risks, issues, constraints, and conflicting priorities. Acting as the primary point of contact between Educators Financial Group and vendor implementation teams. Monitoring vendor deliverables, commitments, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution. Ensuring all project deliverables meet agreed scope, quality standards, timelines, and business objectives. Qualifications University degree or College Diploma in Business, Finance, Technology, Operations, or a related field PMP certification is strongly preferred Change Management certification (Prosci or equivalent) is considered an asset Minimum of 8 years project management experience in leading complex business, technology, transformation initiatives such as end-to-end platform migration or system implementation projects within financial services or wealth management industry Knowledge of wealth management services and processes spanning all departments A clear and effective communicator with the ability to present project status reports and key issues in lay terms to all levels of the organization in an articulate and professional manner Experience managing external implementation partners and technology vendors Strong understanding of advisor operations, Canadian financial services regulatory requirements/compliance and operational controls, client servicing, account administration, and investment operations Proven success delivering complex, cross-functional programs/projects involving multiple key interested parties Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, user adaption and business readiness activities Selection Process We are committed to fostering an inclusive workforce that reflects the diversity of our clients and communities.
