Cyber Security Analyst: On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Cyber Security Analyst for an 8-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
Cyber Security Analyst - Job Description: As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be the first line of defense in identifying and responding to threats across bank’s global infrastructure. This role involves monitoring security systems, triaging incidents, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to protect digital assets in a global 24/7/365 environment.
Cyber Security Analyst - Responsibilities: • Continuously monitor and investigate security events using industry-standard case management and SIEM tools. • Analyze data from various sources to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities. • Provide recommendations for improving security monitoring and detection capabilities. • Triage and investigate security events, acting as a first responder to incidents. • Collaborate with other security teams to escalate and manage security incidents effectively. • Create or update documentation of procedures and processes. • Provide recommendations for improving security monitoring operations via enhanced automation.
Cyber Security Analyst - Mandatory Skills: • Post-secondary degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. • Up to 4 years of relevant experience in information security or systems and computer operations. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Familiarity with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar). • Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework. • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Cyber Security Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills: • Information security certifications from (ISC)², ISACA, SANS. • Scripting and coding skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash. • Experience in Identity & Access Management, Vulnerability and Configuration Management. • Knowledge of security platform administration or security incident response. • Understanding of the technical and business environment and corporate processes.
Cyber Security Analyst – Assignment Length: This is an 8-month contract position.
Cyber Security Analyst - Start Date: ASAP.
Cyber Security Analyst - Assignment Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This position is hybrid with 2 days in the office.
