Job Description: TD Wealth, Private Wealth Management provides high-net worth & ultra-high-net worth clients with holistic discovery and planning towards customized wealth advice and solutions. As part of Private Wealth Management, Private Banking specializes in offering tailored banking and credit Management solutions to affluent HNW clients. TD's Private Bankers support clients in Premium Banking Solutions, Tailored Credit Strategies, introduction to TD specialists for home of best fit in alignment with their unique complex financial needs and plans. The Private Banking team also leverages a distinct discovery process and an integrated, team-based approach to build a wealth strategy that reflects each client's unique needs. We are currently hiring for an Associate Private Banker. This role is part of the Developing Private Banker program which is a 12 to 24-month accelerated training opportunity for professionals who aspire to become Private Bankers. The program combines a structured fundamental training program, licensing and direct mentorship from existing market leaders, to create a path to a Private Banking portfolio. This role will be given the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues in a client-facing environment servicing valued High Net Worth clients and all of their banking and Wealth needs. Accountabilities: Assist in directing retail prospect referrals and determining the appropriate PWM destination based on initial discovery insights. Support the Relationship Manager in onboarding HNW & UHNW clients and provide a high touch service experience. Execute all onboarding procedures, banking activities/transactions, and straightforward credit solutions for high‑value and sophisticated personal clients. Apply knowledge of Business Banking products and services to enhance and support the overall client relationship. Conduct proactive client follow‑ups to confirm expectations are met and ensure any outstanding items are resolved promptly. Support the Relationship Manager to proactively identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and work collaboratively with various Private Banking, Wealth and Bank partners to offer highly complex credit solutions to HNW & UHNW clients. Support the analysis of credit and underwriting requests by ensuring adjudication in accordance with assigned discretionary limits and established guidelines. Ensure adherence to operating standards and processes – perform quality checks and validation of work. Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions & activities as necessary. Ensure necessary due diligence to support the accuracy of all customer transactions & activities. Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts. Required Skills & Education Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree (in related field) preferred 2+ years relevant experience Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) Willingness to complete the Personal Financial Planner (PFP) or Certified F Financial Planner (CFP) designation within 36 months from start date. Strong knowledge of banking and credit products & services Understanding of Wealth products and solutions with an understanding of all credit, cash management, investments and specifically credit. Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn banking and risk, operations, and related procedures.
