l Role Overview
: The Regulatory Reporting Technical Architect is a senior hands-on role responsible for the design, evaluation, and delivery of a Proof of Concept (POC) for a next-generation regulatory reporting architecture. The initiative aims to replace an existing vendor solution with a hybrid model combining an internalized mapping engine and a modern technology stack. The architect will lead end-to-end technical decisions — from data modeling and pipeline design to front-end visualization and AI-assisted validation — while ensuring the solution meets regulatory compliance, auditability, and data lineage requiremen

ies: The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited
to : Architectural Design• Define the end-to-end technical architecture for the regulatory reporting POC, covering all layers from data ingestion to reporting output• Ensure the POC design satisfies non-functional requirements: performance, scalability, availability, security, and regulatory compliance (auditability, data li neage)• Define data models, storage strategy (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, OpenMetadata) and processing pipelines (Spark, Kafka, Ai rflow)• Ensure seamless integration across all technical components for selected data sets and regulatory r eports• Design and validate a complete end-to-end data pipeline: from initial data loading through processing to aggregated final output, incl uding:◦ Data lineage tr acking◦ Version c ontrol◦ Audit trail◦ Data validation and quality fra mework◦ AI-powered solution
layer Technology Selection & Inte gration• Evaluate, benchmark, and standardize the technology stack across the following components: Angular 17+, AG Grid, Spring Boot, Python FastAPI/Django, Node.js, Camunda/Temporal, Apache Airflow, Spark, Kafka, Drools, OpenMetadata, Superset, Tableau, Power BI, RESTful API interfaces, Oracl e 26 AI• Assess and recommend cloud platform architecture aligned with the organization’s infrastructure blueprint (AWS, IBM Cloud, or GCP)• Integrate selected vendor solutions and internal components within a coherent, scalable archi
tecture Proof of Concept Delivery• Drive the POC from inception to demo, overseeing back-end services, front-end visualization, workflow orchestration, and rule engine int egration• Conduct performance, load, and security testing throughout the POC l ifecycle• Produce technical documentation, ROI analysis, and a migration roadmap• Ensure the POC completes on time with validated integration across all selected co
mponents AI & Prompt En gineering• Explore and implement AI-assisted data validation, anomaly detection, and automated insight generation using LLMs and prompt en gineering• Leverage Oracle 26 AI capabilities within the data and reporti ng layers• Recommend responsible AI practices and model governance frameworks suited to a regulated financial en vironment5. Stakeholder Engagement & G overnance• Collaborate with Finance & Risk Systems business and technology stakeholders to align architecture decisions with business req uirements• Present architectural recommendations and POC progress to senior sta keholders• Contribute to the definition of a target operating model (TOM) for the next-generation reporting
platform Required Qualifications a
nd Skills: • 10+ years of experience in software architecture or technical architecture roles, with at least 5 years on complex data platform or report ing systems• Demonstrated experience delivering proofs of concept or greenfield architecture design in a financial servi ces context• Prior exposure to regulatory reporting systems (e.g. Axiom, AxiomSL, ALMIS, or equivalent) is a signif icant asset• Hands-on experience integrating heterogeneous technology stacks (front-end, back-end, streaming, rule eng ine, cloud)• Experience working within a Target Operating Model (TOM) transformat ion program• Background in investment banking, CIB, or similar regulated financial institutions strongl y preferred• Front-end: Angular 1 7+, AG Grid• Back-end: Spring Boot, Python FastAPI / Djan go, Node.js• Workflow & orchestration: Apache Airflow, Camunda / Temporal• Data processing: Apache Spark, A pache Kafka• Rule eng ine: Drools• Data governance & lineage: O penMetadata• Reporting & visualization: Superset, Tablea u, Power BI• Databases: Oracle (incl. Oracle 26 AI), MSSQL, PostgreSQL• Cloud platforms: AWS, IBM Cloud, and/or GCP• AI / LLMs: Prompt engineering, model governance, AI-assisted validation• Proven experience designing distributed, event-driven data architectures in regulated e nvironments• Strong knowledge of data pipeline design patterns (batch, streaming, lambda/kappa arc hitectures)• Familiarity with regulatory reporting frameworks and financial data models• Experience with RESTful API design and microservices a rchitecture• Understanding of data lineage, audit trail, and data quality frameworks• Technical Leadership — Able to drive architecture decisions across a complex, multi-techn ology stack• Structured Thinking — Brings clarity and rigour to ambiguous, open-ended technical challenges• Communication — Able to translate complex technical trade-offs into business-friendly reco mmendations• Autonomy — Comfortable leading a POC with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment• Collaboration — Builds effective working relationships with both technical and business s
