Represent Premium Accounting with carriers, auditors, regulators, and other external stakeholders as required.

Process Management, Projects & Optimization

Lead the strategic direction and execution of process improvement, automation, and system transformation initiatives within Premium Accounting. Champion the effective use and optimization of the EPIC system, and evaluate/implement complementary tools (e.g., reconciliation, AP automation, analytics platforms). Sponsor cross-functional projects to enhance accuracy, timeliness, scalability, and controls in premium accounting and financial reporting. Ensure all key processes are supported by current, manager-level SOPs and a robust control environment.

Compliance & Controls

Design, implement, and continuously enhance the internal control environment governing Premium Accounting activities. Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and company policies, and support the enterprise risk management framework. Establish governance forums and reporting to provide transparency to senior leadership on operational performance, control effectiveness, and emerging risks.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (CPA or equivalent designation preferred). Minimum of at least five years of progressive experience in premium accounting, accounts receivable, or finance, including supervisory experience. Deep expertise in insurance brokerage operations, trust accounting, carrier reconciliations, and provincial/federal tax compliance. Proven track record leading finance transformation, system implementations, and process automation initiatives.
